            <title>CFSEU Arrest 7 Individuals for Transporting Drugs to the U.S. by Aircraft</title>
            <description>Following a lengthy investigation, the RCMP led Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU GTA) which includes officers from the RCMP, Toronto Police Service, Peel Regional Police, York Regional Police, Durham Regional Police and OPP with the assistance of Halton Regional Police, Canada Border Services Agency and U.S Law Enforcements Agencies arrested 7 individuals for their involvement in a group that was transporting large amounts of ecstasy and marihuana from the GTA area to the United States.</description>

            <title>Three Charged in 3,000,000.00 Ponzie Scheme</title>
            <description>Three persons have been charged with thirty one counts of Fraud Over $5,000.00 in relation to a 3 million dollar Ponzie Scheme.
The charges stem from a year long criminal investigation conducted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Windsor Commercial Crime Section. Twenty four investors were identified as having invested funds ranging from $10,000.00 to $750,000.00 into this scheme.</description>

            <description>The RCMP Criminal Organization Marihuana Enforcement Team (COMET) and Toronto Integrated Proceeds of Crime Unit (TIPOC), working in conjunction with other RCMP Detachments in Ontario and several other police services, including: the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) Drug Units, the Toronto Police Service Drug Squad Clan Team, the York Regional Police, the Waterloo Regional Police, Peel Regional Police and with assistance from Canada Border Services Agency, have disrupted a multi-million dollar criminal enterprise responsible for the production, distribution and exportation of marihuana and MDMA (ecstasy) as well as the importation of cocaine.</description>

The officers arrested an individual alleged to be an illegal tobacco distributor. A certain amount of illegal cigarettes were seized during the operation.</description>

            <description>On Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 Justain Dillon of Mississauga, Ontario was sentenced by Justice Allen in a Brampton court to 12 months in jail for his role in terrorist hoax calls he made on November 24, 2006. At his preliminary hearing last June (2009), Dillon pleaded guilty to a Hoax Regarding Terrorist Activity charge contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (Sec. 83.231).</description>

            <title>Major Joint Police Operation against a Forgery and Fraud Network</title>
            <description>This morning, over 400 police officers of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and Montréal Police Service conducted a major police operation against a forgery and fraud network specialized in forging documents and passports. Thirty-nine searches were carried out in businesses, residences, vehicles, and three day care centres in Montréal.             <title>45 kg of Cocaine Seized in a Warehouse on Trans-Canada Highway in Montréal  Five Individuals Arrested</title>
            <description>Last Thursday, as a result of intelligence gathered against an active organized crime network, members of the RCMP Airport Federal Investigation Section (AFIS) and National Port Enforcement Team (NPET) with officers of the Montreal Police Service arrested five individuals accused of attempting to smuggle drugs by container. Approximately 45 kilos of cocaine were seized. The drugs were concealed in a shipment of fruits from Costa Rica. The five alleged members of this network were arrested and charged.</description>

            <title>Counterfeit Goods Seized in Two Rivière-du-Loup Stores</title>
            <description>This morning, officers of the RCMP Bas St-Laurent Detachment searched two stores in Rivière-du-Loup. The officers seized a number of counterfeit clothing items and accessories bearing well-known brand name logos such as Chanel, Billabong, Volcom, Harley-Davidson and Montréal Canadiens. A man and a woman who were on the premises were also arrested. They could face charges under the Copyright Act.</description>

            <title>Hamilton Resident charged with Heroin Importation</title>

            <title>Three Million Dollar Fraud - Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Resident Arrested</title>
            <description>Police arrested Kevin Gossellin-Robitaille, a 24-year-old Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel resident on Tuesday. The man faces two counts of fraud after filing for personal bankruptcy in April 2007. He is alleged to have, by deceit, falsehood or other fraudulent means, defrauded two groups of creditors working in the agriculture sector for an amount of nearly $3 million.</description>

            <title>Cigarettes Seized in Sherbrooke: Five Persons Arrested by the RCMP</title>

            <title>Violent criminal removed from Canada</title>
            <description>The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today confirmed the deportation of Samuel Martin Luin. The Edmonton resident was deported under escort by CBSA officers on November 9, 2009.  Mr. Luin was convicted of 17 offences including sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm. He was also convicted of assaulting a peace officer while incarcerated.</description>

            <title>Two Alleged Tobacco Smugglers Arrested by the RCMP</title>

            <description>On May 3rd, 2009, the Ontario Provincial Police were called to attend a residence located on Myers Road in South Stormont, Ontario where it was reported that a van was on fire. OPP officers attended the scene to find a 2004 Chevrolet Cube Van on fire. Firefighters from the St. Andrews Fire Department arrived to put out the flames and discovered that the van contained cardboard boxes of contraband cigarettes.</description>

            <description>A Scarborough man is lucky to be alive after spending three weeks in police custody with pellets of cocaine trapped in his body. Drug courier Hatim GULAMHUSEIN arrived at Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport on April 7th after a trip to Buenos Aries. He was interdicted by officers with the CANADA BORDER SERVICES AGENCY as drug courier, and while in CBSA custody, produced eleven plastic pellets containing approximately 13 grams of cocaine each.</description>
